The D.D.S. '54 oval window started life at the dragstrips in an Orange paint who received after the purple metalflake treatment. Color pictures of the orange car are not very common, to say the least...

These 4 pictures were taken by Glenn MILLER at 1970 Bug-In. The pictures of Deano wrenching beetwen 2 roubds are a real tribute to someone who devoted is entire life to VW. Note the Deano Dyno Soar van towing the D.D.S. race car.

Here's Deano racing at the 1969 NHRA Winternationals at Pomona California, against some serious V8... Boy, it's always a great feeling to see such a little VW running against the V8 boyz, and defeat them...
